What Hatemalo actually refers for?

"Hatemalo" in Nepalese simply means "Garland of hands". It is a combination of two different phrase "hat(haat)=hand" and "mala=garland". Hatemalo Society not only aims at strengthening the bond between the Nepalese residing in Japan, but also to make contributions to the Nepalese society in some way. With these motivations, Hatemalo Society was formed on 14th April, 2006. Needless to say, without any mutual contribution and cooperation from our Japanese friends, the undertakings would be futile. We would surely like our Japanese friends to join hands with us to enlarge the "Garland of hands".
Hatemalo Society also organizes various cultural exchange events periodically, aiming to enlarge the circle.
